About Animal Kingdom
Disney's Animal Kingdom is the fourth park built at Disney. Opened in 1998, it is the largest park of them all. It covers 500 acres and is built around the concept of animal conservation. It is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. In 2008, Animal Kingdom had over 9 million guests, making it the fifth most frequented amusement park in the US and eighth in the world. Animal Kingdom is made up of "Themed Areas". Such themed areas are Oasis, Discovery Island, Camp Minnie-Mickey, Africa, Rafiki's Planet Watch, Asia, and DinoLand USA.
