About Discovery Cove
Discovery Cove is a theme park located in the Orlando area. It opened in 2000. It is a place where visitors can see many marine animals, the highlight of which is bottlenose dolphins. Guests can touch, talk, play, and swim with the dolphins. There are trained dolphin adventure guides that give a safety orientation and info session regarding the dolphins before going to the pool.. Some of the attractions include a coral reef, where visitors can go snorkeling with tropical fish. There is an underwater shark and barracuda tank as well. There is an Aviary that contains more than 250 tropical birds and many species of exotic birds. There is a Tropical River that visitors can float down - passing the many beaches, falls, and the rainforest. There is also a heated resort pool.
